Summer is on the downhill, but South Beach, as per usual, is still dancing the night away. As a little thank you cheers to all of the hard-partying out-of-towners and locals keeping our nightlife as popping as ever, here’s an ode to some modern pop sounds that make you say, “This is my song!”

“Peanut Butter Jelly” by Galantis

This zany jam from Swedish DJ duo Galantis has everything one needs for some summer fun on the dancefloor. Robot-sounding vocals, a steady house beat that rises and drops with the celebratory ring of dings and hums, plus an American classic—Peanut Butter and Jelly.

“Go” by The Chemical Brothers

“Go” is a fast-tempo song from the longtime British group The Chemical Brothers with an explosion of brass and eighties-style-synths mid song that’s simply electric. Quick and smooth verses by Q-Tip add an air motivation to this mesmerizing tune.

“Are You With Me” by Lost Frequencies

Lost Frequencies has the perfect rhythm and hopeful-sounding vocals for a romantic summer dance jam. Mentions of drinking margaritas and watching mariachis at midnight evoke a tropical festivity that South Beach knows oh so well.

“I Want You to Know” by Zedd feat Selena Gomez

Selena’s voice echoed over itself with starry keyboard and synth sounds, “I Want You to Know” is a super fun blend of pop anthem and house mix. Festival-regular Zedd keeps crowds pumped with explosive drops throughout the entirety of this club-banger.

“Lean On Me” by Major Lazer and DJ Snake

Diplo’s brainchild Major Lazer has ruled clubs and festivals for years, but “Lean on Me” stands out. Ethereal vocals by MØ add soul to this snappy and eclectic dance anthem playing nightly all around South Beach.
