Celebrate Fall South Beach Style

Fall is coming, which means it’s a great time to come down to South Beach for a little vacation. While we don’t have the climate that calls for cashmere sweaters and foliage sightings, we do get to cool down a little bit from our hot summer, and then enjoy a wide range of local events, traditions, and good times.

For some more specific examples, check out this guide to celebrating fall South Beach style.

Eat Like Royalty at Miami Spice

The beginning of fall is September 22nd, which leaves just a few days to take advantage of the savings and flavors that make Miami Spice Restaurant Months a favorite annual event. Running through August and September, the event features discounted tasting courses at participating restaurants, some of which include Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood & Crab, Barsecco, and Jaguar Restaurant

Rock Out at Billboard Latin Music Week

It’s an amazing time for Latin music, and there’s no better place for this convention and series of concerts than Miami, Florida. The five-day event will feature exclusive conversations, networking events, industry workshops, showcases, concerts, and more. If you work in the industry this is a fantastic event, and if you’re a fan, you can get affordable day passes to concerts.

Check Out Simone Leigh: Trophallaxis

This limited-run exhibit will feature Simone Leigh’s magnificent sculpture, which was named after “the entomological term for the transference of liquid food between adult social insects such as bees and ants…” It is as thought-provoking as it sounds, and a stellar piece by the Guggenheim Museum’s Hugo Boss Prize winner.

Go See The Miami Dolphins

One fall tradition here is Dolphins football. This year’s team is extra exciting with our young star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa coming into his own, and superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill has joined the team in the offseason. Go see them play at home against the Vikings this October.

Get Revved Up at the Miami International Auto Show

This historic show only costs $15 to attend for adults, and it features an exciting medley of test drives, demonstrations, and displays of new and historic models. This show has been running for over 50 years and is a fantastic local fall tradition featuring top-name car manufacturers including Toyota, Honda, Chevrolet, and many more.

Staying in South Beach

Another way to celebrate fall South Beach style is to book a room at either Blue Moon Hotel or Winter Haven Hotel. Staying in South Beach during the fall is super peaceful. The summer crowds have calmed down, the ocean is still pretty warm, and there are clearly a lot of exciting events taking place nearby and all across the rest of Miami.
