The 4 Best Celebrity Chefs at the SoBe Wine & Food Festival

One of the nation’s premier celebrations of culinary artistry will arrive in South Beach from February 19-22, bringing with it celebrity chefs, innovative artisans, and an array of ways to taste the future of food.

Among the festival’s main draws is the roster of standout chefs planning appearances during the four-day event. From ticketed dinners to industry insider discussion panels to casual happy hours, the festival will offer unprecedented access to dozens of top personalities.

Marc Murphy Landmarc

The owner, executive chef and namesake of Benchmarc Restaurants will participate in one of SOBEWFF’s most star-studded events — the Farm to Table Brunch, hosted by Whole Foods Market. Murphy will bring the blend of high-end dining and comfortable cuisine on which he built his reputation to the Sunday, February 22 event, hosting alongside Geoffrey Zakarian, Julie Frans, and others.

Masaharu MorimotoMorimoto

As one of the world’s preeminent sushi chefs and the recipient of glowing praise from restaurant critics the world over, Masaharu Morimoto is among the biggest names at the SoBe Wine & Food Festival 2015. Morimoto — of the eponymous luxury restaurant chain that now spans the globe — will host Mix It Up with Morimoto & Friends and Belvedere Vodka & Moet and Chandon present Dinner over the weekend. The Food Network Iron Chef will put a Miami twist on the traditional Asian night market setting, serving poolside drinks, sushi and more in a relaxed-yet-glitzy setting.

Marc ForgioneRestaurant Marc Forgione

Things will take a turn for the meaty in Miami Beach when Marc Forgione takes the stage at the Goya Foods’ Swine & Wine presented by the National Pork Board event. The Michelin star-rated puts a modern spin on classic fine dining. The chef focuses on perfecting the preparation of meat in a variety of settings, ranging from trendy Laotian dishes to traditional steakhouse items and comfortable New American cuisine. Forgione’s SOBEWFF event will focus on creative pig-centric tapas.

Marcus SamuelssonRed Rooster

Already one of the most prominent chefs in the world of American fine dining, Marcus Samuelsson will be a busy man during the SoBe Food & Wine Festival. The founder of Harlem institution and Southern food mecca Red Rooster will make three appearances at this month’s festival: at the Belvedere Vodka & Moet and Chandon present Dinner, the MasterCard Priceless® Miami Demo Pass at the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village, and the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village.
