Eggs Benedict on toasted muffins with ham and sauce

After a long night of partying on Ocean Drive, you don’t want to wake up early for proper breakfast. Also, a little hair of the dog may be necessary to make it through the day. Late morning or early afternoon breakfast foods coupled with some booze equals one thing. Here are some of the best spots to brunch in South Beach.

This trendy Colombian restaurant on Washington Avenue puts a Latin twist on the classically American experience of brunch. Nothing sops up a hangover better than some thick, crunchy empanadas and a nice cold glass of sangria.

The Palace

In many ways, the Palace is home to the quintessential South Beach brunch: bottomless mimosas and an iconic Sunday morning drag show make for an always-entertaining meal.

The Front Porch Cafe

Another place where diners can post up outdoors on Ocean Drive for their brunching, the Front Porch Cafe does killer breakfast food. Their Sicilian omelette with sausage, onion, peppers, marinara and mozzarella goes well with a cup of joe or a spicy bloody mary.

The Local House

One of the more elevated brunch experiences in Miami Beach, the Local House offers memorable dishes like crab cake benedict, braised beef skillet with goat cheese polenta hash, and banana pancakes. Their cocktails go above and beyond with the I Will Be There—Grey Goose Lemon Vodka, fresh blueberries, chambord and lemon juice.

The toughest part about getting to brunch is making the effort to leave the house. So, don’t. Just mozy onto the elevator down to our lobby restaurant FIX for one of the best brunches in South Beach. Our apple cardamom French toast a with a bloody mary on our private backyard patio is a can’t fail combo.
