Miami Beach

Neighborhood

Miami Beach’s distinct cuisine certainly has its roots in Cuban and Latino culture—you won’t find a better Cubano sandwich anywhere else in the country—but many key celebrity chefs are starting to influence the local dining culture with their internationally renowned restaurants serving every type of multicultural cuisine imaginable. And don’t forget to try the local seafood; Miami is famous for everything from fresh-caught snapper to stone crab—the original Joe’s Crab Shack is right here in South Beach!

Dining Around Town

Miami Beach has some of the best shopping in the country, offering stores and boutiques catering to every type of clientele. Head over to the pedestrian-friendly Lincoln Road Mall to find some of your favorite retail brands along with a number of designer stores. Head over to Española Way and Washington Avenue to discover funky vintage finds and artisanal wares, or walk along Collins Avenue to source designer threads from luxury boutiques.

Arts & Culture Around Town

Despite its somewhat hedonistic spirit, South Beach is also rich in arts and culture—after all, this is home to Art Basel, one of the world’s premier art extravaganzas. The city itself is also home to diverse art galleries and also hosts numerous film festivals, dance performances, theatre, and more. For true Miami flavor, get your dancing shoes on and go see a live Cuban music performance. Mambo, anyone?

Arts & Culture Around Town

Blue Moon is located in the heart of a Miami Beach landmark: the Art Deco District, an architecturally rich neighborhood protected by the National Register of Historic Places. Other key landmarks include the beautiful Holocaust Memorial gardens and sculpture on Meridian Avenue, as well as the St. Bernard de Clairvaux Church, a 12th century monastery which William Randolph Hearst brought from Spain.
