Blue Moon Hotel - Guest Comments

I am writing to let you know what an asset you have in your staff member, Sean.

Let me explain: I came to Miami on Saturday, 22 March 2008. I had booked a hotel on the Internet - not yours. It turned out to be quite dingy and I was so disappointed. Unfortunately, I had pre-paid for the accommodation and could do nothing about my situation. I was booked to stay there for four days. The service was terrible - I received no information about Miami at the front desk of this hotel and was left to my own devices to find out about Miami.

I happened to pass by Blue Moon Hotel the day I arrived and walked in to ask a few questions about what I should do in the city, and where I should go. Sean was the person on duty and was immediately very helpful - so helpful that I told him about my disappointing situation. He was very understanding, and just by listening and empathising, he really made a difference to my stay in Miami.

Even though I did not stay at your hotel, he went beyond the call of duty by treating a tourist as a guest. Wow. If I ever come back to Miami for a visit, I would stay at Blue Moon Hotel based on the service I received from Sean. He reflects your hotel in the best possible way. Every day that I was in Miami, I made a point of coming in to Blue Moon to say hello to Sean. On my last day he showed me around your lovely hotel - a great business strategy. If anyone asks me where they should stay, I would recommend Blue Moon because I saw the kind of rooms and lounge and bar area that you offer. It's great.

Please send Sean my warmest regards. He'll remember me, I'm sure - just tell him that Colette from South Africa says hello and thanks again.

I would appreciate it if someone in management replies to this e-mail so that I know my letter has been read and acknowledged. Sean really is a gem and Blue Moon Hotel is lucky to have him as part of your staff.

We were pleasantly surprised by the Blue Moon. We found the hotel through Travelocity, but booked directly through the hotel's web site to avoid their booking fee.
We had read that many of the hotels in the art deco district were beat-up, musty, and buggy, with small rooms. None of this applied to the Blue Moon. We enjoyed your pool, happy hour, and continental breakfast. The room was extremely comfortable for the price. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. I would recommend the hotel to any one planning to visit South Beach.

I want to tell you how much I appreciate all of the special things you did for us last week. You were way too accommodating. The food was absolutely wonderful. I have never said that about hotel food. Your presentations were fabulous. Truly it was the best I have ever experienced and I have done quite a few meetings.

Hey Steve, I had a blast staying there! I researched hotels for hours with using tripadvisor.com to help me make a final decision. I read many ugly reviews of other places and the Blue Moon seemed to have the fewest if any complaints. I was not even planning on it being in such the central happening location of sobe. Staff was very cool and helpful..
I'll definitely be staying there again on my next visit, hopefully soon.

I wanted to thank you for your help in making this past weekend a memorable occasion for myself and my coworkers. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out.There were a lot of us and your staff handled everything professionally. The reception Saturday evening was exceptional.
